Why are they important: Before you design an event it is important to visit the location to better understand the space, the vendors, and the layout. It allows you to familiarize yourself with the flow of your event, identify concerns before they arise and understand the local culture. During the visit you can discuss details, get questions answered, locate signage needs, meet employees, observe events in progress, and begin to create a desired atmosphere.
